History

1987

Highland Electroplaters is formed as part of the Highland Metals Group on an existing site in the centre of Aberdeen.

1990

Moved to purpose built unit in Kirkhill Industrial Estate site, Dyce, where we are still located today.

1994

Removal of the chrome line machinery to install the Xylan/Everslik line with the addition of Molykote in 1997.

1999

ISO accreditation gained.

1999

Installation of Anodising line due to demand from the Oil and Gas Sector.

2001-2003

Development of the crushable zinc-nickel line. This gave our compressors improved efficiency, this led to the installation of a zinc-nickel line.

2008

DMI Global acquire Highland Electroplaters.

2014

Lisa Baird Appointed works manager.

2018

A fire devastates the factory of Highland Electroplaters, destroying the main workshop.

2019

Highland Electroplaters re-open and re-launch with a brand new state-of-the-art facility.
